  MAKES FOUR/

 

Let two plus two make four

No less it is nor more

Say there’s no room to guess

Can two and two be four?

I ponder o’er and o’er

If it might not be more

And also somewhat less.

The more I poetize

And pause to recognize

That wisdom is not wise

The more I have to guess.

No fun is it to know

That any thing is so

When yes may well be no

And no may well be yes.
