Carbon of letter from Spencer Heath to Henrietta Grey, School of Applied Philosophy, 118 East 76th Street, NYC

June 21, 1938

Dear Mrs. Grey:

I am glad to know by yours of the 18th that it might be possible to arrange some extra-curricular work in connection with your School.

I was bold enough to suggest this to Mrs. Mayer because of my conviction that in the general development and application of the Science of Being there is in the social organization, as well as in the constitution of the individual a realm of beauty and potentiality for creative and spiritual power.  Especially do I conceive of the normal and unforced social organization, when viewed in its creative aspects, as the peculiar endowment of nature under which each, as an individual, may realize his own being and perfection.

If your Director and a group or class in your School would likely be interested in a description and Science of Society from this point of view I should be glad to lead or conduct a preliminary meeting looking to a short series if sufficient interest appears.

                     Very sincerely yours,
