Carbon of a letter from Heath to Harry Scherman, Book-of-the-Month Club, 385 Madison Avenue, New York City

May 19, 1941

Dear Mr. Scherman:

Some of these days, if I have persistence enough, you will have read my brief explanation of property in land from the functional point of view (which I think is an unprecedented enterprise), and also some of my practical recommendations to the organized real estate interests looking to the performance of public services by them on behalf of their customers and thereby to the restoration of their incomes and values.

Accordingly, I am enclosing additional copies of the above referred to in the hope that you will file these in your coat pocket or in some other place where you will have to read them in order to get rid of them. If you find anything in these that you can get your teeth into, I hope you will enjoy the mastication and intellectual digestion. Outside of the beaten track, the going may not be so good, but it is just about the only place where discoveries are made.

With many good wishes, I am,

                        Sincerely yours,

SH:ML Enc.
