Carbon of a letter from Heath to William Schlamm, c/o Henry Regnery Company, Chicago, Illinois
Dear Willy Schlamm:
Hurray for you once more. I have just finished reading your prologue to McCarthy and His Enemies. There was a chuckle in every line. You surely are a hot satirist and your irony is delicious. I wish we could breed that like guinea pigs. If I hated McCarthy like poison, I would still go on reading the book after your prologue. You are on the side of the angels, but keep on giving them hell.
Sincerely,
SH:m
