Att RIGHT:

Gentlemen:

Anytime you come to realize that we cannot pull ourselves up by pulling other people down — races, parties, people, institutions, I shall be very happy to subscribe for and perhaps otherwise support your publication.

Like Rose Wilder Lane, I put a high value on your dissemination of news. But as a white, protestant American, for thirteen generations, I have no sympathy whatever with your anti-everything-else opinions and attacks.

I think if you were to expand your service as objective newspaper reporting of the activities of conservatives the country over, without endorsing the opinions of any, and rigidly adhered to this high rule, you would draw a growing body of support from influential conservatives and assure for your paper both its perpetuation and the performance of a fundamental service to the republic.

If any such re-vamping should be contemplated, it perhaps would be to your advantage to indicate it before the current subscription term comes to an end.

Very sincerely yours,

SH/m
