Penned notes for a letter to Winston Churchill
Dear Mr. Churchill:
I am just an obscure American (of the U.S.A.) — retired research engineer, having some leisure now, and given to thinking things through. To my considered thought, you and Jan Smoots are the two outstanding world-figures for the last thirty years, but to none does your country and the world owe such gratitude as to you. Yet in the aftermath of war your people — your public has gone on a “binge” — a Beverage “binge,” leaving you high and dry as in the pre-war days while they blindly accept such shackles as they then appeased.
