PARAPHRASE

Thou One Creative Power who

in majesty presides,

All hallowed and revered Thy name,

Thy Spirit that abides.

Thy sovereign rule through us extend;

Be ours Thy loving will;

On earth as in all other realms,

Thy gracious will fulfill.

Bestow Thy bread of life each day

E’en though we faithless be,

And as we bless our enemies

Let come Thy love from Thee.

0, let us not be tempted from

Thy loving care and call,

But give us of Thy strength to rise

From every depth we fall.

For of Thee cometh every good;

All glory unto Thee.

This be our loving grateful prayer;

So may it ever be.
