Carbon of letter, November 15, 1956, to Leon Ackerman, 910 17th Street, NW, Washington 6, D.C., and Ackerman’s response, undated, on a Christmas card he’d printed in 1954
Dear Mr. Ackerman: November 15, 1956
My attention has been drawn to your beautiful advertisement in the New York World-Telegram last Saturday.
I admire your public spirit and the evidently fine altruism you display. You may be interested in a little booklet of my own, which I enclose and which I hope will strike a similarly responsive chord in you.
Very sincerely yours,

Encl: “Inspiration of Beauty”

Dear Mr. Heath:
I deeply appreciate your letter and little booklet you sent on to me. I have read your finely written “Inspiration of Beauty” and found it most interesting in its responsive spiritual message. To be close to the beauties of nature is to be close to God — “Love” opens all doors to all things spiritual and human and through “love” may we soon have peace and harmony among men and nations.
/s/ Leon Ackerman
/Editorial note: This last is exactly Heath’s conclusion, through socionomy, when “love” is taken also in its objective sense — whereby it can be understood as men serving one another in the golden-rule relationship of the market. -SHM/
