Since voice recording was only just becoming available in the 1950s and Spencer MacCallum often found himself without means of recording Heath. On being told that total recall might some day be possible through hypnosis, he made these notes of some occasions when he would especially have liked to preserve Heath’s words.

Notes for hypnosis:

Wednesday, May 18, 1960 — SH at breakfast table, 11 Waverly, on respective functions of risk (equity) capital and secure capital. Important.

Tuesday, May 3, 1960 (or thereabouts) driving car from Elkridge to Ellicott City in morning 9-9:30 A.M. to see County Agent about evergreens. S.H. talking.

Discussion with SH August 6, 1960 (Saturday) at 11 Waverly Place, New York, 12-12:30 pm

Sunday, July 1st, 1956. Late morning presentation by S.H. of the religio-esthetic interpretation of the Cosmos. Beautifully delivered to guests in the living-room of Lucile MacCallum’s home in Waterford, Va.

Wednesday, August 29th 1956. At lunch, S.H. talking to Mr. Lyle Munson at the Washington Square Inn — Introducing the whole philosophy of proprietary administration from its physical foundations upward. Fine and brilliant presentation. 1-3 P.M. New York City  SHM
