Penned note from sculptress Lily Rona addressed to “General Heath” because at an exhibition of her work Heath’s bronze bust was displayed beside that of General Eisenhower, and someone thought it appropriate that “General Ike” and “General-ize” were placed together.

Dear General Heath —
I enjoy the soft waves of music, you are sending through our souls — it has the power to calm the excited mind — to cool the fighting spirit — to heal the bleeding heart which does not want to believe in the narrow minded, selfsatisfied littleness of even learned men.
I admire you deeply, as well your great clearness as your mental and moral discipline.
Many thanks for your hospitality and kindness!
Yours —
in winged friendship
(Signed) Lilly Rona
