Penned Christmas note from Beatrice McKenney, Baltimore, Maryland

Dear Mr. Heath,
What a pleasure, indeed, to hear from you after the “silence of the centuries!”
This is the time when souls take time out to be human and spiritual. And it is so fitting right here and now to express my sincere gratitude for the many lifts and inspirations you passed my way. I have said before, and say again that you did more for me than any teacher, instructor, or professor. How often I _______ intellectually charged to read way into the night. It is a wonderful thing to inspire and to be inspired, especially when young. I thank you again with all my heart, your being Thomas Jefferson to me.
When you come to Baltimore do please look us up. We overlook the Sheppard and Pratt estate and abut the Turnbull estate. Yorkleigh Road is one driveway south of Sheppard and Pratt driveway.
My very best wishes to you for the coming year.
Most cordially,
(Signed) Beatrice McKenney
