A Very Happy New Year,
Fredy (over)
Glad to report that I’ve been out of the Navy since July.
Last September I started work at the Applied Physics Lab of John Hopkins University here in Silver Spring, Md. I like my job immensely. We’re doing high altitude investigations on cosmic rays by means of V-2 rockets and B-29s. What makes it even more perfect, is that I am getting thesis credit for this work from Princeton; I hope to get my Ph.D. sometime next year.
I hope that you are well as all our mutual friends in N.Y. are in best of health and enjoying the Xmas season.
Best wishes
Fredy

Dear Dr. Singer:
It is a long long time since I saw or heard anything of you, but I have certainly not forgotten you.
I hope that by now you have obtained that coveted doctor’s degree and are engaged in very interesting and useful things as you seemed set out to be. I am still at my New York address as above with occasional forays as far as Virginia, Florida, and Tennessee.
I should be most happy to hear from you and to know where you are and what doing.
With many pleasant recollections,
Sincerely,
SH:sm Spencer Heath
