You had a dream — you thought it high and large — and so it was — for you. There was no place in it for your larger self. And so, after years of toil in vain you dreamed a smaller dream. And even unto that smaller dream you could not alone expand. Only by the sharing of another heart, the helping of another hand, however loth you were to have it so, could that small dream come true. Now you have reached and grasp alone that goal — work and independence, a place of your own . . .

But I have always held a higher, a wider and a deeper dream than I could waken or inspire in you.
