Dear Ms. Pousette-Dart.

 

I have just had the pleasure of talking with you on the phone, after discovering among my grandfather, Spencer Heath’s papers the enclosed lengthy letter and mimeographed materials from your late husband, dated December 31, 1941. Since in these ten hand-written pages he developed much of his personal philosophy of life, I thought you might want to preserve this document. I said I would send it to you on my wife’s and my next trip up to the border when we could put it in the United States mail.

 

My grandfather was a philosopher of science and aesthetics very much attuned to your late husband’s outlook on life. My wife Emalie and I are just now completing the Spencer Heath Archive of his writings. The enclosed document, scanned into the computer and digitized, is Item 2258 in that Archive. Enclosed is the original.

 

Again, I enjoyed talking with you this morning. We trust that the new year will be treating you well in every way.
