Penciling by Heath on a notepad sheet.

Spring 1958

When any thinker comes upon a new conception concerning an important matter, some new generalization that lights up a long previously dark or dim or unhappy field of human experience — dark because of very long established and widely held misconceptions — the most he can do is to publicize his finding among his most eminent contemporaries and hope for as much attention to it as his discovery deserves.

The rationale of relationship between atoms and molecules, between biological cells, between genetic factors, between masses in motion — these discoveries have brought to mankind enormous powers to rebuild “to the music and the dream” among material things
