Property is the social technology whereby the spiritual relationships among men become manifested in their material world. Men have to have some means of getting some kind of accord among themselves — which is a spiritual process, a meeting of their minds in mutual plans and dreams whereby they impress this spiritual nature on their material world.

/As amended and copied in pencil by Heath                                        following transcription on a later occasion:/

Property and its contractual administration for profit is the non-political social technology of measured mutual service among men whereby their uniquely human and thereby spiritual relationships — their mutual minds, plans and dreams — are made manifest in the progressive transformation of their material world. It is the means by which men become creators and can build and rebuild their world in the image that they dream.
