Item 491

Before World War II?

Includes item 492

Taxation is the cancer of society. This cancer inhibits the functioning of all the organs of society. — Notably it prevents rents flowing to land owners. The starvation of land ownership prevents that organ of society from functioning as the administrative and supervisory department as well as the sales and collection department of the public services.

Land ownership in its administrative aspect may be regarded as the brain (the hind brain) of the political (public services) department of society.

Taxation is like a cancer that consumes the nourishment of the body, starves the brain and unbalances the functioning of all the organs.

To abolish property in land first and taxation afterwards would be like removing the brain first and the cancer afterwards.
