The writer of this letter, now an octogenarian, has long admired the progress and development of the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company over the last fifty years. He has seen it starting out only on a relatively small scale but supplying a very narrow field of insurance services when compared with the existing wide and varied services which it now supplies to its millions of beneficiaries.
It occurs to this writer that in view of the creative growth and development in the past, there should be the potentiality of a vast further field of services perhaps not yet fully realized or even conceived. Noteworthy is your great development of housing services in the form of community complexes such as Parklabrea here in Los Angeles and many others scattered over the land.
