Typed on small piece of paper. Not titled.
No date
Within my thoughts she follows gracious ways
In loveliness and stateliness of mien.—
The common tasks, the common joys and pains,
She dignifies steadfastly and serene.
Yet in my dreams she is a spirit fair
And lily-pale, a thing of noiseless light
And fragrance as ineffable as dawn
That haunts the shady border lands of night.
But in my heart she makes a garden spring.—
Where April blossoms follow winter snows
And autumn glories fade to somber hues
She blooms in earthly beauty like the rose.
