PARASITISM TO SYMBIOSIS
Animals, and savage men and primitive groups are by necessity parasitic on nature and on each other as their numbers increase. Social organization, with its creative metabolism of /measured/ exchange introduces a generalized symbiosis. But government has been partly, and at last wholly parasitic.
