Item 911..
A short, poetic piece, never finished, but it stands alone by deleting the last two paragraphs

White envelope has item 911 & item 1004.
All art is social——the communion of dreams.
Science objectifies the dreams.
Art feels. Science sees——understands.
Art is aspiration, science the key to realization.
Science has unlocked the secrets, pushed back the mysteries, of the natural world, and its technology, operating democratically——in the economic world of contract, consent and exchange——has transformed the physical conditions of life. This has raised the subsistence, lengthened the span and opened the possibilities——the splendors——of life.
But this same technology politically directed in the governmental world of coercion and compulsion and against all the creative relationships of contract and individual consent is canceling all cultural gains and reverting us to an age of dearth and darkness.
Must the “music and the dream” perish by the same hand that wakes them into reality?
Business trades. It distributes services and goods by exchange, value for value. Government raids. It takes by force and gives by favor. It does not distribute by exchange, hence creates no exchange (consent) values.
Business alone is democratic and not arbitrary. Government is parasitic on business.
