MASS VERSUS FORCE
The unit of mass is the gram. The unit of force is the dyne. But inasmuch as the mass units and the force units are numerically the same in the formula for measuring energy, there is no practical difference which is employed.
Force and motion are best described as properties of mass. Mass always has motion. It requires force to change its motion. When its motion is changed, it exercises an equal force — action and reaction are equal.
When anything moves, it is mass that moves, and when anything exercises force, it is mass that exercises force. Force is always proportionate to mass.
