Dear Mr. Codman:
As one for many years inspired by the libertarian philosophy of Henry George (despite his dependence on governmental coercion for its application), I am sending to you at this time not only the usual Season’s Greeting but also a 26-page booklet of mine that is addressed to the rationality — to the head more than to the heart — of those who trust Liberty and would follow her. This review of Henry George’s Progress & Poverty is only incidentally an exposé of the fallacious economics of Henry George and his political “remedy.” This was done with emotional reluctance and under rational necessity.
