+ Positive = Giving = Services
– Negative = Receiving = Satisfactions
An exchange is an interaction — reciprocal flow of services (social-ized energy).
A service is that which induces an equivalent counterflow, — positive energy.
In any completed exchange there are two positives — two values. Each is the value — equivalent — of the other. Values are objective to the individual — his objects.
There are also two negatives — two receivings, two satisfactions. These are not exchanged — have no valence, hence no equivalence. Satisfactions are subjective — interior to the individual; not exterior objects.
