Item 560..

Original is in item 558.

With respect to one another, men do different things when they cooperate, the same things when they collide.

What men do for one another creates; what they do to one another destroys.

As in nature, unlikeness attracts; likeness repels.

When men collide they rebound; there is dis-association instead of association, disunity instead of unity.

Contract, voluntary unity of mind, with respect to whatever is measured numerically in the market-place, is the strictly rational process that establishes a creative present unity among two or more men and ultimately among all mankind.
