Item 658
Verbatim notes by Spencer MacCallum from conversation with Heath.
The relationship between God and man is like the market. When a man deals with his fellow man under the Golden Rule of Christ, he is paralleling the way in which men must deal with nature or with God. In both cases he must find out the wishes and desires of the other party. When he finds out the mind of God as it is exhibited in the works of God, then his purposes and God’s purposes become one and he is a co-creator with God. In precisely the same manner, the man who practices the Christian ethic of contract ascertains the mind of /the other man/. Their two minds become one mind, and the two men become joint creators, divinely advancing their lives in the direction of their ultimate desires. If both aren’t satisfied, nothing is created. When both parties are satisfied and they understand each other, then they create together.
