Penciling on lined, notepad paper

Today, as in every age, men flourish and subsist and survive not upon conflict and combat, servitude and war, but upon the non-coercive engagements of their daily lives in which each enjoys his portion in the contribution and cooperation of all. There could be no greater perversion of the human mind than to suppose men even subsisting, much less advancing, in consequence of their divisions, their struggles, conflicts and wars.
