Recollected by Spencer MacCallum from conversation with Heath
About 1955?
Why prefer the libertarians above the pacifists who employ NO force? Because, neither proposing any alternative, the libertarians are acting most naturally in saving their lives. That way, at least, the alternative is not destroyed, whereas the pacifists would let the alternative be destroyed by allowing themselves to be destroyed. None of which is to deny
a certain kind of example value, or of inspirational value, in non-resistance.
