It is true, that in the Cosmos there are two contrary tendencies and processes. One is to evolve, the other to disintegrate. But the second is dependent on the first. Only a higher form of life can revert to a lower. Only the organized can disintegrate. And even in physical science there is an established minimum below which the disintegration of energy (as action) does not fall. But the integrative process knows no bounds. Only those forms which most endure can most survive. The Cosmos is a progression; for in any type of organization the higher forms are those which most endure.
