Speaking?  Dr. Dix of Lincoln School

What causes interest or curiosity? It is seeking beauty for the sake of its inspiration.

None of them seem to know this.

So they create no conscious technique for this.

From notebook 962:

 

AA to England June 1929. AL and I drove to NY to meet AA at boat. AL stayed with Lucile and Crawford at Forest Hills Hotel with AA.

Ada came first May 1927. Went back September 1927, returned Feb 1929.

Bermuda Jan 1931

Ada to England and us to Bermuda in Jan 1932 after Spencer was born in Dec 1931. Ada six weeks with Lucile in NY prior to Dec and after Spencer was born on Dec 21, 1931.

We went to Bermuda day after Ada left for England one month after Spencer was born. That was Jan 1932.

Ada’s parents both ill in bed. Stayed about six weeks until both were up and well.

Same year (1932) Ada’s father died and we three went to England and were there in May. Stayed about two months.

AL last trip to England. Went Aug 1933, returned May 1934. Jimmy Fealy and I met Ada at dock. Went to movies. Ada at Kings Crown Hotel three nights

 

James Heath born Sept 15, 1923.

 

Ada and I wrote from New York to Aunt Ada asking her to come up to there. May 1934. She came to KC.

 

We went to bus depot to meet Ada, but Ada got off uptown and came to KC. Had supper at KC and evening at Hollywood. We three returned to Elkridge.

I went to H.G. School Feb 1934.
