Notes for ad in the Saturday Review of Literature for an author’s assistant
November 19, 1938
Original -> 1100
I am stocked with vital, practical ideas and conceptions of how we have derived our social heritage, how it operates and succeeds (so far as it does) and how it offers colossal fortunes and rewards to specific interests for the kind of services the world most needs — an extension of the road by which all profit and property has so far been found and that leads to the security and peace of which we dream.
The practical aspects of all this I have in black and white — and some of the theory, but systematic treatment awaits collaboration and the inspiration of joint endeavor.
My motivation is entirely esthetic — without reference to any profits of authorship or the like.
I have lived the past five years at Butler Hall or vicinity but am now principally at my country place near Baltimore with frequent visits to New York.
Please address me at King’s Crown Hotel, 420 W 116 St New York or at my permanent address, Roadsend Gardens, Elkridge, Maryland.
