The motives and services of men are (1) aesthetic or light-bearing and (2) economic or fruit-bearing. Those who pursue beauty for their spiritual gratification and those who seek material things. The pure scientists, discoverers of natural laws, and the creative artists serve mankind through serving the hunger of their own spirits. And the more they give, the more they possess of the light that they give. Their service is aesthetic and spiritual and so only is their reward, and they ask not nor receive any other. They are seekers after
