Gentlemen:
Hereto annexed please find copy for a proposed advertisement in your “Personal” columns.
In order that you may better judge of its legitimacy I enclose also a form of letter which I am addressing to several publishers.
Highly original discoveries are not often made. Less often do they find ready acceptance where tradition, authority and academic routine prevail. Hence my proposed invitation, my informal appeal, to such inquiring intellects as may peruse the human-interest columns of your interesting magazine.
The basic discovery that I have set out in a considerable volume and am seeking to make known gives positive support to the anti-Marxist criticism and reviews that so generally dignify the pages of your excellent and so ably edited publication.
Very truly yours,
Check for $5.20 is enclosed.
Let me add that I am known in New York to: Schuyler N. Warren (investments) 1148 Fifth Avenue, Thomas E. Woodlock, Wall Street Journal, Dr. Ludwig von Mises (Economist) 777 West End Avenue, The Economic Club of New York, 123 West 43rd Street, Dr. Robert Erskine Ely, Executive Secretary, The United States Trust Company, 45 Wall Street, Mr. Thomas H. Wilson, Vice President.
