Carbon of a letter from Heath to Donald R. Richberg, “Braemar,” Farmington, Charlottesville, Virginia
July 14, 1955
Dear Mr. Richberg:
For some years I have increasingly admired your excellent and authoritative work in drawing public attention to the growing monopoly power of the men who exercise control over the labor organizations of our land.
This avowedly special interest, employing always force and intimidation alike against its own members, the public and those charged with the administration of productive properties, both on their own and under cover of special statutes enacted and enforced exclusively for them, should be publicized for exactly what it is.
Just now, I am happy to commend your most excellent and statesman-like article, “Towards a Labor Government,” in The Freeman Magazine for June, 1955. I hope it will be copied and circulated far and wide.
Sincerely,
SH/m
