Penned lines by Heath
Likely before 1900
Have hope! Though clouds environ now,
And gladness hides her face in scorn,
Put thou the shadow from thy brow,
No night but leadeth to the morn.
Have faith in all that makes for good,
In all the high and grand and true.
Though life seems little understood,
Evolving order rules it through.
Have love! Not only love for one,
But man as man thy brother call,
And scatter like the circling sun,
Thy charities upon them all.
