Carbon of a letter re Citadel, Market and Altar to Howard E. Kershner, The Christian Freedom Foundation, 250 West 57th Street, New York City.
August 22, 1957
Dear Dr. Kershner:
From its first publication, I had it in mind that you would be among the first to receive a complimentary copy of my CITADEL, MARKET AND ALTAR. But my records do not seem to bear this out. I am therefore sending you with my best wishes an inscribed copy of the same, in case I have not already done so.
This book is founded primarily on physical and biological science, but I am sure you will appreciate the fact of its leading into high conceptions concerning the creative nature and spiritual potentialities of our free enterprise society — as distinguished from political affairs.
I trust you will enjoy reading it and that you will be stimulated — perhaps also inspired — by some of its unusual points of view.
With much admiration for your work and influence on behalf of Christian freedom, I remain
Cordially yours,
SH/m
