Penciling on a notepad by Heath
July 1957?
Philosophy has to do with the mind, and knowledge is an attribute of the mind.
There are just two things that the mind can possess as knowledge — itself and other, the self and the not-self, subject and object. The intrinsic nature of the self is not known only to that that portion
The self is something originating in the objective — perhaps once a part of the not-self, to which it will return — perhaps springing from the union of two unlike elements of the not-self
