Dear Mr. Bartlett:-
A few days ago when talking with your father, it seemed to me that he indicated sufficient interest in a deeper understanding and theory of real estate administration than we have had before to warrant me inviting him and the two senior of his sons for an evening of discussion and conversation upon these matters. Your father was kind enough to say for himself that he would join me at my house next Wednesday evening, April 9th, and would convey to you my invitation to accompany him. This letter is for the purpose of reminding you, reinforcing my invitation, and expressing my earnest hope that there will be nothing to prevent your acceptance.
I have had many interesting and valuable conversations with you for many years past, always upon matters of my own personal concern. I look forward with much pleasure to the opportunity of discussing with you some matters of very great public importance and grave concern.
Doubtless, you have long observed that discussions of this kind seldom, if ever, come to any conclusion upon which can be based anything more than the hopes of palliation or relief from existing disorder and distress. I hope to make our forthcoming discussion a very definite exception to this rule.
Cordially yours,
SH:ML Spencer Heath
