Carbon of letter to Vivien Kellems, Stonington, Connecticut
September 11, 1954
Dear Miss Kellems:
I am reading with exceeding great interest and many chuckles your delightful book of sense and satire on our political machinery for the obstruction if not the ultimate destruction of all productive business.
Noting your great respect for the wisdom of our fathers and your faith in the protective power of the United States Constitution, I am sending you a brief commentary of mine published recently in the letter department of the Wall Street Journal. In this I take my stand on the Constitution and its protective powers.
As soon as I finish reading your book I intend to pass it along, and, according to present intentions, a few more of them, where I feel sure it will do good or at least open some eyes.
Admiringly yours,
