Carbon of letter to Frank E. Holman, Hoge Building, Seattle 4, Washington

November 15, 1954

Dear Mr. Holman:

As a patriotic American citizen, although somewhat belatedly, I am moved to convey my congratulations and best appreciation of your excellent advocacy of the “Bricker Amendment.” I feel assured that this issue will not die, and that you will not cease in your efforts towards this very necessary curtailment of the executive treaty-making power. Without this, we can expect little less than a large control by the red element in the U.S. over our domestic as well as international affairs.

Anent executive usurpation, I am sending you clippings of my letter in the August 16th issue of the Wall Street Journal which I feel you will approve. In the same vein but more extended, I send you also Felix Wittmer’s fine article in the September issue of The Freeman Magazine. I feel that the constitutional issues involved are supremely important to our future liberties.

Reflecting, I hope, much public appreciation and expressing my professional admiration, I am,

                            Sincerely yours,
