Dear Dr. Heath,

Thank you for your letter of April 10th. I have been slow in replying because our firm was sold and after eight months of unemployment I have just gotten started again. I enjoyed reading your letter a great deal.

My own philosophy stems from a conviction that there is a pattern of workability for industry, commerce, government or any form of human behavior contained in the laws of God for human conduct. That is a pattern that is economically sound and socially progressive and avoiding as it does both reaction /?/ and individualism is the pathway of true democracy.

One of the pitfalls in that that causes stumbling to the novice in trying to apply it is that love has always been considered soft, and softness becomes confused with love. Instead the disciplines of love are harder and more rigid than any other force.

Again many thanks and all good wishes,

Very sincerely yours,

/s/ Wallace C. Speers
