Dear Mr. Heath:

 

Thank you so much for sending me a copy of your address, “The Practice of Christian Freedom.” Your idea that the governmental services might someday be distributed on a free market basis interested Me a good deal. I suppose in a sense President Eisenhower’s recent suggestion that many of the federal services be decentralized to the states is based on the same general kind of thinking, namely  that the cities of each state could then decide whether they want to buy these services or not instead of having them forced on them.
