Dear Mr. Heath:

 

I am sorry to have been delayed in answering the letters you were kind enough to send me – April 12, May 29 and June 3.  I had hoped to read all of the material carefully and also the book before writing to you. Unfortunately I have not found the needed leisure.

 

 However, I have read carefully your address “The Practice of Christian Freedom,” which I found interesting and helpful. I am looking forward to reading all of the material you sent me and will write you again after I have done so.

 

 I feel confident that you are making an important contribution to the thought life of America.
