Letter to Mr. and Mrs. Richard Lewis, Whittier Avenue, Winchester, Virginia
August 2, 1957
Dear Marion and Dick:
Remembering the letter which Dick sent to Mr. Howard Pyle, Administrative Assistant to the President, concerning the proposed Suez Canal Solution and promising a book by me “that offers a new approach to conservative thinking,” I am sending you herewith a copy for that purpose with additional label for forwarding it to Mr. Pyle.
It seems to me that when I saw you last, I gave a copy personally to you, without remembering that you should have one also for Mr. Pyle. But I have no record of this. In case I may not have given you one, I am sending you one now. If this happens to be a second copy to you, I shall be very happy to have you lend it or otherwise pass it along — to the Public Library, perhaps.
With many best wishes,
Cordially,
