Dear Dr. Singer:

It seems a long time since I have seen or heard anything from you. I have no doubt you have gone much further in your professional field, and would be happy to know to what particular aspects of physical science you have been giving special attention. Physical science has so far broadened that its researchers must in the main give their attention to particular subdivisions; yet men like deBroglie and Schroedinger have gone in for widely philosophic views as well. I am wondering if in addition to working in a limited field, you are also reaching out philosophically as they have done. If the latter is the case, I think you may take a special interest in the “Prefatory Brief” with which I opened my volume, CITADEL, MARKET AND ALTAR. If you have, I am wondering what was your reaction.

I think you will be happy to note that my CITADEL, MARKET AND ALTAR has met with some cordial reception both here and abroad, as indicated by the printed matter enclosed. You will note the name of Dr. John J. Grebe, as a physical scientist.

I hope the world-political situation has not been discouraging to you,  in view of the long term movements in history which constitute the general trend.

I hope all things are using you well and your own efforts are having good effect. Next time you pass through Elkridge, alone or in company, drop in at my place and have a cup of tea.

Wishing you many happy new years,

Sincerely yours,

   Spencer Heath
