Dear Sir:

 

This letter is to urge you to give not only your vote but your utmost energy and influence to ensure quick and decisive passage by the Senate of the President’s economy measure.

 

 Yesterday’s vote in the House proved that with small exception Maryland’s representatives rise to a higher level than craven shivering in fear for their political hides. I am sure that the informed and intelligent opinion of the people of Maryland expects and demands a still higher standard of statesmanship and patriotism in her two Senators to both of whom I am writing. I firmly believe that under our new leadership the financial integrity of our government will be redeemed and preserved. May we have every reason to be proud of our two Senators for their labors and their votes.
