Dear Little Woman:

Just one or two of my many thoughts of you today: The more I think of it all the more confident I become of the ultimate success of your ambitions. I do not get this merely from what you have done or are doing but from what I know and feel that you are — from what I know and feel as to the quality of your fine personality and your lovely artistic genius. I believe this is in some degree sensed by all who know you, just in proportion as they have capacity for artistic appreciation. (Unfortunately for them, some of your friends do not have this.) For my part, I think more of you (as you know) than I do of any outward success you may achieve. For I know that you are success — that it is already wrought into your very being. And I know this by the extraordinary effect upon me. You have revived the poetic idealism of my youth, fired my imagination with beauty and inspired my dreams. And, like men of vision beholding pure beauty (spiritual reality) in any form, my desire is not to grasp and bring it down, but that something in me may be tributary to it and be as gladly received as it is joyfully given.

As I would pay homage to your inner beauty and capacity (which is your intrinsic success), so I cannot doubt that as your genius unfolds and becomes known very, very many will come to enjoy and appreciate it and give you their glad acclaim.

I am going away again Sunday for most of the following week. I do hope everything is well with you.

Sorry I did not take sufficiently into account how sensitive you are about appearances and how they may be misconstrued.

      ‘Bye
