In like manner, the whole energy-in-action of an organized population, as a larger event and form of life, is also discontinuous. It comes not in single lives, as do its constituent units, but in generations or waves. That portion of the individual life that is re-born into the societal relationship does not disintegrate. It lives on in the social organism that creates the conditions for ever longer physical lives for its units and for the never ending succession of its own generaions or waves. For the society does not disintegrate but is constantly renewed. Those portions of its individual lives that are re-born into societal and thereby creative(spiritual) relationships do not disintegrate but live on in the social organism that creates the conditions for ever-lengthening material lives and for a never-ending succession, without any disintegration, of its own generations or waves. Its rhythm is uninterrupted while its periods increase. Its increasing energy or action rate per generation stated in life-years, is the average number of constituent units in that generation (_______ per year) multiplied by its period, their average life span.
