SURPLUS

 

Game of Trading, Paying Taxes and Banking Savings

Each player around to left from dealer chooses his suit.

Dealer takes the third (last) suit for his.

Deal 13 cards of each suit to each player.

Each draw a card from left and return to pack. This is taxes.

Each player put a card in bank.

Remaining eleven are trading capital.

Gold suit rates at double value.

Deal 13 to each player

Partners same color

First: Each player collects taxes from player on his left (draws a card). Four cards deposited in tax office. Highest of these to be gold suit.

Left of dealer has lead.

No player can make more than 2 profits on taking a number card. But any gold card (trump) will trade for any other card.

Only a picture card or ace can trade for a picture card or ace or trump.

Only a gold card will take a gold card (and only 2 profits allowed). Also an ace takes a trump.

Deal 13 cards to 4 players. This is production.

Each player draw a card from player on his left. This is taxes. Return them to pack.

Each player lays aside a card. This is for his own consumption. Put it in Bank.

Remaining 11 cards are trading capital.

Dealer offers (plays) a card.

Player on left offers (plays) one and may take up first.

Third player offers one — May take up one if 2 are there.

Fourth player offers one and may take up one out of the three or two on board.

If any remain Dealer must take one — as does each player in turn who has not already taken up one.

Each player draws on left for taxes to pack.

Each player lays aside a card to consume — bank. All cards in bank must be different suit or different face.

With remaining nine cards repeat as above.

Then with 7-5-3 and one card.

After the offering and taking up of last card goes /?/ around the final card goes to bank.
