Item 1728

Typed draft for a letter from Heath at 88 Morningside Drive to Mr. and Mrs. Angel, together with a paragraph on real-estate administration apparently for another purpose.

January 28, 1938?

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Angel:

I often remember the pleasure that your company gave to me and my daughter quite a long time ago. I would like very much again to have that pleasure and to enjoy it this time with my very dear and interesting musical (and philosophical) friend, Lewis Lane, who shares himself and his friends very generously with me.

Will you not join us for an evening mean next Thursday, February 3, say, about a quarter to seven, at the Town Hall Club or, if you should prefer as more convenient, the Roof Garden here at Butler Hall?

I am anticipating very great pleasure in seeing you again.

                          Sincerely,

Land owners, in a very practical sense, have community of ownership of the same property; to wit, the capital engaged in public services, except, of course, the borrowed capital. It is their social function ultimately to administer all this capital, including the borrowed capital, and to supervise all these services, unitedly and democratically, under parliamentary organizations and procedures among themselves.
